BiD Challenge Satellites in 7 countries

Apart from the BiD Challenge International, there are 7 countries with their own National BiD Challenge competition. These satellite countries are India, Philippines, Tanzania, Kenya, Argentina, Peru and Colombia.

The BiD Challenge International was created in the Netherlands in 2004. It received proactive support and enthusiasm from Dutch companies, NGO's and organisations. Due to the enthusiasm with which the BiD Challenge model was received, the BiD Network Foundation decided to expand its effects to other countries and language areas.

Implementing the competition on a national level has many benefits. Language barriers are taken away and local networks, finance and expertise can be mobilized for more effective results. By organizing the national competitions in different countries, the BiD Network Foundation hopes to stimulate local markets for meso-finance and business development services.

The BiD Network Foundation hopes to set up a total of 20 National BiD Challenge Competition before 2010.

The national competititons are open to residents of the countries in question. The submitted business plans have to target the country of residence.
