Become a Business Coach

More information for coaches and people who think of becoming a coach.

A coach supports a one of 200 selected entrepreneurs to write a complete and bankable business plan. On September 3rd, the deadline for handing in the complete plans, the entrepreneur should be able to approach potential financiers with the plan, such as SME funds, partner organisations, banks and VC's.

A coach is a sparring partner; gateway to knowledge, expertise and network. Coaches test the feasibility of the business plan and may read and review the business plan.

How do we match a participant to a coach?

We match participants with coaches on the basis of:

  1. sector and target country of a plan and sector and country expertise of a coach
  2. the expertise needed by a participant and the expertise the coach can offer

Coach's profile

The become a coach, you have to fit the following profile:

  1. Any professional that can be a motivator, sparring partner or gateway to knowledge and expertise for the entrepreneur;
  2. Knowledge of business development, financial planning or marketing and sales;
  3. Proven affinity with developing issues and developing countries;
  4. A personal or professional interest in SME development, private sector development and/or ‘business in development’.
Workload

Between June 28th and September 3rd, 2007: +- 16 hours (or more, if necessary)
