Promising pilot and new manager
Last year's activities were dominated by fund raising and starting the pilot. Funds have been aquired, the pilot phase is set up as well as an awareness campaign in the surrounding communities. A very qualified Kenyan project manager is appointed, he takes over most of the activities from Pepijn Steemers, the Dutch initiator of this business.
Construction and adoption of large fish ponds
In September 2006 the construction of the large fish ponds will start. This will create temporary employment for 50 people. The ponds have to settle and will be operational in October. In 9 months from now (august 2007), first turnover is expected.
