Vegetable is a highly demandable product in the local and national market. To meet the growing demand in the market farmer are using highly harmful chemical fertilizer to accelerate the yield ,which inturn causes the ill health in consumer due to consumption of hazardous chemical along with vegetables.

Our business plan consists of developing and start growing the vegetable produced with organic fertilizers in a rural area of Karnataka. It also includes the commercialization of the organic vegetable in the local and national market and to replace Traditional Hearth & Oven system with Biogas produced by vegetable waste.

This will help to reduce poverty in rural part and to promote the use of renewable source of energy by various means:
(1) The possibility of new income sources for vegetable growers at a rural area (2) The generation of new jobs for the farm labour at a Karnataka rural area,
(3) The substitution of an imported good,
(4) Development of Biogas will reduce the de-forestation which inturns saves the environment.

The Business

What is your product/service?

We will produce and commercialize the Organic Vegetable. The sales of this will generate profit.
Since we will use the vegetable waste of local market to generate Organic fertilizer and vegetable waste is actually a big problem for the City Development Authority, It will be very cheap. We will seek alliances and agreements with City Development Authority in order to arrange the logistics of the transportation of vegetable waste. And we buy the cow dung form local people. In this way we will manage it.
After using the proper technique we will generate the Organic fertilizer in respective Vegetable Production (growing) area. And the further refined Vegetable waste we will use to produce the Bio-gas for daily use. Bio-gas system initially implements in minimum 10 farmer’s house than to the whole that particular village. This will save 30% of deforesting in First year in that particular Village and 50% in the second year.
During the First year we are expecting to have the 10% of the local market. And 30% by second year for Organic Vegetable in vegetable market.

Explain how you will sell your product/service (marketing strategy) and how you will reach your customers (distribution strategy)?
