Johannesburg Energy & Poverty Platform (JEPP)

The Johannesburg Energy & Poverty Platform (JEPP) is a platform for all parties involved in the provision of energy services to poor people in the developing world. JEPP aims at bringing together the key actors, discussing the role of energy in poverty alleviation and exchanging information and experiences on issues related to energy and poverty. JEPP also facilitates the initiation of commercially viable business operations which contribute to improving modern energy services for the 2 billion people in the world without affordable, clean and safe cooking energy and the 1.6 billion people without electricity.
