Private Partnerships For The Urban Environment (PPPUE - UNDP)

The Public-Private Partnerships for the Urban Environment (PPPUE) programme is UNDP's initiative in support of alleviating poverty through public-private partnerships in poor cities throughout the developing world. The core goal of the programme is to increase the access of the urban poor to basic services such as water, sanitation, solid waste management and energy by promoting inclusive partnerships between local government, business and communities.

The PPPUE Innovative Partnership Grant (IPG) supports the aims of the PPPUE programme at the country level. Projects are conceived by National and Local Governments, Civil Society Organisations and Private Sector Associations and focus on small and medium sized municipalities in the context of decentralisation.

Public-Private Partnership

Sir:

May we respectfully envite you to visit www.flickr.com/photos/restoregreenmovement. A photo compilation of activities to fulfil your core goal programmes.

We will implement small industries for our dumpsite dwellers and form partnerships with our local government, businesses, the private & religious sector.

We now have the support from our local government thru the donations of used tires and hope other sectors will soon get involved.

Slowly we will be part of change.

Respectfully yours,
