Both my passion and concern for Africa’s nature and people are the driving forces behind the things I do. In 2006 I founded the AND (www.ArtNatureDesign.nl) company what has become my lifework. AND sees Nature as model and Art and Design as means to create a balanced and sustainable world. AND wants to know how humans, their products and their activities fit into the totality of the natural ecosystem called “Planet Earth".
I am experienced as an artist, a designer, a journalist and a teacher of fine arts. In 2005 I have been working as a designer in Uganda and became a specialist in the material "Bark cloth". Bark cloth is a renewable materal that fits perfectly into the AND concept. I want to use all of my speciallisms, experiences and professional skills to reach the AND goals.
