Rene M. Fortuno

I am Rene M. Fortuno, the Country Manager of the Philippine Business in Development (BiD) Challenge. I also serve as Product Development and Management Services Manager, Training and Consulting Group, of the Philippine Business for Social Progress.

This is my 23rd year in development work, having served Plan International and the Philippine Business for Social Progress in various capacities from community organizer to area manager under PLAN; and as Program Officer, Senior Program Officer, Assistant Unit Manager of Luzon Operations, Operations, Account Manager of the Small and Medium Enterprise Credit Program, and Manager of the Training and Consulting Group under PBSP. My areas of expertise cover Commuity Organizing, Organization Development, Enterprise Promotion, Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation, Integrated Area Development, promotion of Corporate Social Responsibility, Program Management, Education and Health.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Management from San Beda College, Masters in Business Administration (candidate) from the University of Sto Tomas, and a Master in Development Management (with distinction) from the Asian Institute of Management.
